On the last day of MeMaws visit (September 7th) we endend our coast trip with a stop at the Trees of Mystery. It was a perfect day for it and all the kids seemed to really enjoy it, we all did. That is the girls posing with the "elephant tree" and
then with the "Brotherhood tree", that tree is so big it is hard to see them.
The picture of the osprey nest is taken from the top of the gondola ride. I am not afraid of heights, but by the time we got to the top of the ride my palms were a little sweaty. I definatly needed some time to recover at the top before heading back down. The kids seemed to love it, except when Steve started to swing the car back and forth, and then he tooted in the fully enclosed car, just to rile us up! So a couple of days later Sydney and I are in the car heading to town and Sydney says to me, "Mom, why did you marry such a goofball?" I said, "Why do you ask?" she says, "Well, he kept shaking the door of the ride even when his mom kept asking him not to and then he farted in the car, I just think he is a goofball." Yes Sydney your dad is a goofball, get used to it!
That is our Expedition driving through that tree. This tree is not in the Trees of Mystery but about 5 miles down the road. I think it is in someones back yard, they collect money in a little building in front of their house. It is the only picture that I am in, although you can't really see me driving. Pretty cool to drive through a tree but it wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be. We had a great trip to the coast and I will try and post more later.
