Baking with Daddy
I do all of the cooking around here when it comes to meals but when it comes to desserts like cookies, cakes and brownies, that's Steve's department. Last weekend he had Rikki and Alex helping him bake, or should I say eat, the brownies.

Eagle Point Eagles
And no not the high school!
This morning we had to go and feed the cows over at the golf course, a pasture next to Stoneridge golf course, after we fed at the feedlot. When we got there I spotted a bald eagle out on the pasture.
They seem to congregate in pastures with cows this time of year, my guess would be that they do this because the cows are calving and they come to eat the afterbirth. When we headed out into the field we actually spotted a newborn calf and as we headed down the lane and two of the cows took after the eagle and started chasing it away. Apparantly they didn't like it being so close to the newborn calf. I got a photo of the red cow chasing the eagle, you can kind of tell what is going on in the photo if you look closely. Before we left we ended up seeing 3 bald eagles and 1 golden eagle. I always feel like seeing a bald eagle is a sign of good luck, so I guess we really had a lucky morning.
Feeding for Papa
This morning Papa was out of town and Moose was left to do all of the feeding so she asked me if I could come and help her. I was up all night with sick kids but it was a beautiful morning and I decided to go. Before I could get out the door Rikki and Alex decided they weren't going to let me go without them. Sydney was still asleep, she has been sick for two days now and Rikki was sick last night also but when given the opportunity to go and feed with Aunt Moose, all memories of being sick went right out the window. I am really glad I took them, and my camera too. They had such a great time watching and helping.
I really love the photo of Alex looking out the window with her reflection staring back at her, looks like she is really wanting to get out there and help her Aunt Moose.
Alex really got excited about the whole thing she jumped right in and was helping feed. I suspect Rikki would have too if she was feeling a tad better. Papa and Nam just bought a new place and it was the first time I had ever been there. It is a feedlot for the cows and it was really nice and easy to feed over there.
