It's hot! 100+ this whole week. The girls are enjoying our slide that we purchased at the beginning of the summer. Kayla came over and spent the night last night and they have been playing on the slide all day. I really thought they would be a little timid on it but no, they are coming down that slide frontwards, backwards, upsidedown and 1,2,3 and 4 at a time. Only one busted lip so far and that was Sydney bumping heads with Kayla on the way down. Didn't knock any teeth out because she is toothless in the front!
Gone! Somehow I got these photos in the wrong order, they are supposed to be chronological. Sydney has both of her top teeth loose and she has been really working on getting the one out of there. It really has been bugging her. Today when I got home from work she was really messing around with it, I told her to stop because I didn't want to loose "my" baby tooth. She said, "Well say bye- bye tooth, cause it is out of here!" She did a couple of whistles for the last time and then it was about 15 minutes and it was gone. But to her amazement she can still whistle!
We took a trip up to Crater Lake on Monday the 6th with MeMaw, Stacey, Blake, Brookelynn, Sydney, Rikki and Alex. The weather was perfect and the lake was beautiful. I am still amazed by it even though I have been there several times. On this visit I missed the turn off to Hwy 62 and we ended up taking an unitentional rim drive. Well worth the mistake, I have never done it before and it is an amazing drive, leaves you a little on the edge of your seat, the road has small shoulders if any in places and a very steep drop to the lake. It took us an additional hour to get around it but I am so glad we did it, I would recommend it to anyone. Next time I want to do the 2 hour lake tour, but I will need to get in better shape to make it down the steep grade to the boats and then out. The kids enjoyed the lake but were much more impressed with the chimpmunks, or squirrels, whatever they were. (There seemed to be some debate around the lake as to what exactly they are..) The photo of the kids in the grass is, I believe, overlooking the Klamath Valley and Klamath Lake. Never notice that before from up there either.
The girls were playing so well this morning and Sydney asked if she could give the girls makeovers, I thought they were doing hair but Rikki came in with a half of can of hairspray in her hair and looking like this and Sydney said, "Look mom I made Rikki into a damation puppy!" She was pretty excited but dalmation puppy wasn't the first thing to come to my mind!
