Oh my gosh these two are getting to be a handfull, into everything and really starting to talk. That is Alex showing us how tall she is, standing on a chair and Rikki showing us who is the boss. Everytime the two of them wake up from their naps (yes! they are still taking naps) they say Bye Bye? Meaning are we going somewhere? The other day Rikki said, "Bye Bye, see, Papa, Rope?" and she twirled her hand like she was roping. Last night Rikki woke up and said to Steve, "Bye, Bye? Doggles? Doggles?" Then she said it to me and I was trying to figure out what in the heck doggles were. I said, "goggles? doggies?" She said no quite definatly then Steve said, "She wants to go to McDonalds." I said to Rikki, "McDonalds?" And she said umhmm in her sweet little, you finally got it voice. We rarely go to McDonalds and we didn't go last night either.
MeMaw comes in today, as a matter of fact she should be pulling in the driveway any minute. So Nam has been trying to teach them how to say Memaw. Alex totally gets it, Rikki calls her Me-munkel.
One last note, I have been wanting to post our bedtime routine for a long time, and it is quite the routine. The both have to have their Mi-Mi's (blankets) and Ice water in their sippy cups. Then the kisses begin. Steve and I have to both be in the room and we each get a beep, they have to pinch our noses until we say, "beep". Then they give us butterfly kisses from each eye, then a regular kiss, then a hug and then Monkey Love, which is a hug with their legs wrapped around you. Then we have to switch babies and do it all over again. Quite the routine, but we all enjoy it, then they say night night. It is a long process but they usually go right to bed after all that.
