It was windy here at home the other night and so we tried to fly Sydney's new kite that we bought on the coast. It was so much easier to fly over there. The wind seemed too gusty at home and the kite kept crashing. We did manage to get it up a couple of time for quite awhile, just as we did, Sydney was already sick of it. Some other random thoughts. . . Rikki and Alex are starting to talk and mimic what everyone says. Even Breezy, on a ride the other night with Sydney, Breezy kept blowing her nose and as soon as she did I had several nose blowers. They are both trying to say Sydney, Alex calls her blanket MeMe. (Sydney used to call her blanket her Mimick, don't really know where that one came from.) Right now Rikki and Alex and Steve are on the outside of the office door and Sydney is on the inside. Sydney is putting her hands and feet under the crack of the door and Alex is cackling like crazy trying to get Syd's fingers. They both think it is sooo darn funny, and now they are sticking their feet and hands under the door. It's amazing what can entertain them :) I do think they are just on the verge of taking off with their talking. New words everyday, but still a lot of grunting and pointing. A few nights ago Steve comes to me and says, "Rikki and Alex really do have their own language, they know what they are saying to each other." He had Alex on the changing table and she was babbling, Rikki babbled back, ran and got Alex her MeME gave it to her and they both started laughing. Maybe this is why they haven't started speaking our language yet, they are perfectly fine with their own.
