This summer we have had so many hummingbirds in our yard. This morning while we were sitting outside I spotted five all trying to feed off of our plants. They absolutely love this perennial. It is called Salvia guaranitica, the flower color is this amazing blue and the leaves are a lush dark green. Mine seems to winter over most years and comes back like a perennial even though it is often labeled as an annual. It grows about 3.5 feet tall and just about as wide. The other things they love in our yard are the butterfly bushes and the English lavendar. They also really like a few of the annuals I have planted and seem to hang out in Incense Cedar we have in the back yard. I think they must like it for the cover that it provides. Try any or all of these plants if you would like to attract the hummingbirds and even the monarch butterflies.
